Photo Friday - 21NOV03 - Gatherings

Herd of Elk gathering in the cold. Taken about a 1/2 hour drive from where I live on a day when the trees were covered with hoar frost, an extremely thick frost that looks like it is almost dripping off the branches. The temperature is about -20°C. An ironically beautiful challenge to survival.
